Online Course in Numerical Methods
Funded by National Science Foundation through one prototype and two
expansion grants (2002-2010), and recognized nationally by the 2004 ASME
curriculum award, we have developed an
online course in Numerical Methods.

We firmly share the following two philosophies:
  • First we believe in “Having open dissemination of educational materials,
philosophy, and modes of thought, that will help lead to fundamental
changes in the way colleges and universities utilize the Web as a vehicle
for education" - MIT Open Course Ware.
  • Second, we provide the numerical methods resources that are
pedagogically neutral that can be modified to suit anyone's needs.

Go to the
site to access all resources for free without any required login or
password.

You will find numerical methods resources such as
  • background information,
  • textbooks on Numerical Methods and Introduction to Matrix Algebra
  • power point presentations
  • worksheets in Maple, Mathcad, Mathematica and Matlab
  • assessment tools
  • anecdotes
  • eBooks
  • blog
  • videos (prototype) on each of the topics
on topics of
  • differentiation
  • nonlinear equations,
  • simultaneous linear equations
  • interpolation
  • regression
  • integration, and
  • ordinary differential equations.
